2024年3月29日から3日間、静岡県浜松市の浜松市鴨江アートセンターにて、金継ぎ講座の受講生の皆さんの作品を一同に展示する展覧会「漆で繕う」を開催いたしました。
浜松にて金継ぎ講座を開講して一年余り。漆で繕う本来の金継ぎは時間も手間もかかりますが、じっくりと時間をかけて器と向き合ったその成果と思いが、生徒の皆さんそれぞれの繕い器に表れていました。
また、今回の展覧会では、一般社団法人国際金継ぎ師協会が主催する金継ぎ富士市講座の受講生の皆さん、講師の高林晶子先生、そして私の師である古屋容子先生にもご参加いただき、作品交流を行いました。
会期中に開催した古屋容子先生の講演会では、会場内を回りながら金継ぎの材料や道具、生徒さんの作品を題材に、金継ぎの歴史的な背景や精神性についてお話しいただきました。
金継ぎの輪が少しずつ、浜松、静岡、そして世界に広がっていること、壊れた器を漆で繕うことの美しさや奥深さについて多くの方に知っていただく機会となっていれば幸いです。

【Report | KINTSUGI exhibition】
March 2024, I held the exhibition at Kamoe Art Center in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, displaying the works of students of my Kintsugi courses.
It has been over a year since I started my Kintsugi course in Hamamatsu, and many students have participated and spent time repairing ceramics with traditional way that useing Urushi lacquer.
The teaditional kintsugi takes time and effort, but the results and thoughts of spending time and working closely with the ceramics are reflected in each kintsugi object.
This exhibition featured participants of the Kintsugi Fuji City course sponsored by the International Kintsugi Master Association and this course's instructor Akiko Takabayashi. And special guest my grand master Yoko Furuya participated this exhibition and we held her lecture.
I hope this exhibition provides an opportunity for many people to know Kintsugi community spred in Shizuoka pref, and around the world, and the beauty and depth of repairing broken ceramics with this traditional way.
