金継ぎ つぎのば 新アトリエ始動

令和7年9月8日、静岡県浜松市富塚町に、圖子愛子の金継ぎアトリエ「金継ぎ つぎのば」がオープンしました。
これからこの場所で、繕い仕事、器の修理の受付、そして金継ぎ講座を行って参ります。常設で、圖子愛子の金継ぎ仕事をご覧いただけるスペースもございます。
建物の設計・施工は浜松市舘山寺町の工務店・番匠さんにお任せしました。天竜杉を使い伝統工法で建てていただいた、気持ちの良いアトリエです。

-つぎのば tsugi nuova -

nuova[ヌォーヴァ]はイタリア語で「新しい」という意味です。 

壊れた器の「継ぎ」を通して、その器と持ち主の方の新しい「次」の一歩が始まる様に。 

そして、継がれた器が新たな命を得るための「場」となるように。 

そんな思いが込められている「つぎのば」です。 

千年後も、大切な器を修復したいと願うひとの傍に、 

この、漆で繕う技と心があることを願って。

KINTSUGI atelier " tsugi nuova" – New Atelier Open

On September 8, 2025, Aiko Zushi’s kintsugi atelier “KINTSUGI atelier- tsugi nuova” will open in Tomitsuka, Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
At this new space, I will be offering repair services, accepting restoration requests for ceramics, and holding kintsugi courses. There will also be a permanent display area where visitors can view Aiko Zushi’s kintsugi works.
The Atelier's design and construction of the building was entrusted to 番匠Bansho, a construction company in Kanzanjicho, Hamamatsu City. It is a comfortable studio built using traditional methods using "Tenryu sugi" cedar.

I warmly invite you to stop by and observe the art of repairing with lacquer "URUSHI" .

– tsugi nuova –
For the name, I combined the Japanese word “tsugi” with the Italian word “nuova.”
In Japanese, “tsugi” means “to repair, mend, or restore,” but there is also another word with the same sound that means “next, what comes after.”
The expression “tsugi nuova” is therefore a play on words that reflects my hopes: that this atelier may become the “next place” (tsugi no ba — ba in Japanese means “place”) where all kinds of broken ceramics can be given new life. 

Furthermore, I hope that through the act of “repairing / tsugi,” both the ceramics and their owners can embark on a “new” experience together.

KINTSUGI atelier " tsugi nuova" – Nuova apertura dell’atelier

L’8 settembre 2025 aprirà a Tomitsuka, nella città di Hamamatsu, prefettura di Shizuoka, l’atelier di kintsugi “KINTSUGI atelier- tsugi nuova” di Aiko Zushi.
In questo nuovo spazio offrirò servizi di riparazione, accetterò richieste di restauro di ceramiche e terrò corsi di kintsugi. Sarà inoltre disponibile un’area espositiva permanente dove i visitatori potranno ammirare le opere di kintsugi di Aiko Zushi.
La progettazione e la costruzione dell'atelier sono state affidate a 番匠Bansho, un'impresa edile di Kanzanjicho, nella città di Hamamatsu. Si tratta di un confortevole studio costruito con metodi tradizionali in legno di cedro "Tenryu Sugi".

Vi invito calorosamente a venire a osservare l’arte del restauro con la lacca “urushi”.

– tsugi nuova –

Per il nome, ho utilizzato la parola giapponese “tsugi” e la parola italiana “nuova”. 

In giapponese la parola "tsugi" significa "riparare, aggiustare, restaurare", ma esiste un’altra parola con lo stesso suono, che significa "prossimo, ciò che viene dopo". 

L’espressione "tsugi nuova" è quindi un gioco di parole che contiene queste mie speranze: possa questo atelier diventare il "posto successivo (tsugi no ba [ba, in giapponese, significa “posto”])" dove tutti i tipi di ceramiche rotte possono ritrovare nuova vita. 

Inoltre, mi auguro che, attraverso la " riparazione / tsugi", le ceramiche e i loro proprietari possano iniziare una "nuova” esperienza insieme.
